XinBo Zhang Research Lab
    Xinbo Zhang received his B. S. degree (1999) from Changchun University of Science and Technology and Ph. D. degree (2005) from Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CIAC, CAS), respectively. Since then he worked as a Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) postdoctoral fellow (2005-2007) and a New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) research associate (2007-2009) at National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) in Osaka. He is currently a professor at CIAC, CAS.

   His interests mainly focus on functional inorganic materials for energy storage & conversion with fuel cells and batteries, especially lithium-air batters. He has published more than 80 papers in peer reviewed journals, such as Nat. Commun., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Adv. Mater., Chem. Soc. Rev., ACS Nano, Energy Environ. Sci., etc., and these papers have been totally cited over 1600 times by others with an H-index of 23. Some of the research results have been selected as hot paper, journal covers and frontispiece. He has filed 16 Chinese patents (1 granted) and 2 Japanese patents. Selected honors and awards include CAS Presidential Scholarship Award (2005) and “Hundred Talents Program” of CAS (2011). His research was supported by Strategic Priority Research Program of CAS, National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Program on Key Basic Research Project of China, and National High-tech R&D Program of China.
