Research Scope

Our group is mainly engaged in metal-air batteries, new types of ion batteries, and energy electrocatalysis. In the aspect of metal-air batteries, we focus on the improvement of the stability of metal anodes and electrolytes, the performance of dual-functional electrocatalysts for ORR and OER, and the development of high-performance battery devices. As to new types of ion batteries, we mainly focus on the development of Na-ion batteries, K-ion batteries, and the design of flexible devices. The research of energy electrocatalysis mainly involves the design of catalysts for electrolysis of water, carbon dioxide/nitrogen reduction, and fuel cells, aiming at solving the problems of large-scale storage of renewable energy. Develop solid oxide electrolysis technology to achieve large-scale and efficient production of “green hydrogen” and “green ammonia”, focusing on solving the problems of large-scale storage and conversion of renewable energy power generation and high-value utilization of rare earths.
