Prof. Xinbo Zhang’s research interest focuses on rechargeable batteries and electrocatalysis. He has published 220+ SCI papers with a total citation of 34341 times and h-index 103 (google scholar), which include Nat. Chem., Nat. Synth., Nat. Energy, Chem, Joule, Nat. Commun., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Adv. Mater., Chem. Soc. Rev., etc. Prof. Zhang has applied for 51 Chinese invention patents (28 authorized) and 2 Japanese invention patents. He edited two books with the titles of Metal-Air Batteries (Science Press) and Metal-Air Batteries: Fundamentals and Applications (Wiley-VCH, Germany). He also has made more than 100 invited presentations at professional academic conferences at China and abroad. He has undertaken the National Key Research and Development Plan, the Strategic Priority Research Program of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and other scientific research projects. Prof. Zhang has been selected into the 100 Talents Program of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2011, the Young and Middle-Aged Leading Scientists, the Engineers and Innovators from the Ministry of Science and Technology of China in 2014, the Top Young Aged Talents of Ten-Thousands Talents Program in 2015, the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2017, the Leading Talent of Technological Innovation of Ten-Thousands Talents Program in 2018, the First Prize of Jilin Province Science and Technology Award in 2019, the Excellent Tutor Award of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2020 and the 5th Xplorer Prize in 2023. Also, he has been listed as the Highly Cited Researcher (Clarivate Analytics) in 2020 and 2021.
